A collection bin has been placed in the main office of Coldwater High School to collect empty inkjet and laser cartridges. Cartridges Unlimited will collect the empties periodically and send a check to the organization. 100% of the money will go directly to the baseball stadium renovation project. All students have to do is:
Cartridges Unlimited is new to the area and so is the idea of school’s raising money by collecting empty cartridges. The goal is to raise as much money as possible for the project, while diverting cartridges from landfills. Cartridges Unlimited recycles the cartridges collected and then resells them at a discounted rate.
Among the 25 requirements to becoming a GREEN school, is having a company that collects and pays the school for empty inkjet and laser cartridges. Cartridges Unlimited is now the local source for this in Branch County. “Our mission is to be as community involved as possible, helping schools and other community projects in the area, while helping the environment by recycling our products”. Says Eric Cozart VP Operations for Cartridges Unlimited LLC.
